Keep Out School of Love: the future passes through education
0 commentsThe Keep Out School of Love, like all special projects, had a long gestation. The first relations between Keep Out and the town of Jaipur, a city traditionally devoted to textile craftsmanship, date back to 2017: it was there that Stefania Gagliardone, founder of Keep Out, went in search of silk for the creation of her collection of bracelets. On this trip, she met Rajukmar, a father and a teacher who wanted to set up a school for children in distress and fragility in his village.
Once the appropriate land was identified, our company committed to give financial support to the construction of the school, which was inaugurated in October 2019. In October 2021, the Keep Out School of Love moved to a larger facility, which can accommodate up to 120 pupils, orphaned children aged 4 to 12 being homeless, without access to education.
The Institute also offers a boarding service for children who have no relatives to live with: three teachers, in fact, take care of them after school hours and live with them in the school.
The Lady Jaipur bracelet, made of pure Indian silk personally purchased by Keep Out, is the manifesto product of this partnership: for each bracelet sold, we allocate 2€ to the maintenance and expansion of the Keep Out School of Love.
We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But if that drop were not there, I think the ocean would be less by that missing drop. (Mother Teresa of Calcutta)
